CHEF DIVINE OMEIRE WINS TORONTO COOKING COMPETITION
At the 2024 Toronto Food and Drink Fest, with over 15,000 people in attendance, I was honored to win the Taste of Florida cooking competition. This experience was incredibly rewarding, showcasing my passion for creating flavorful, innovative dishes.
During the competition, I had the pleasure of walking the audience through the inspiration behind my food, sharing the story and cultural influences that shaped my recipe. I explained each ingredient's significance and how they came together to create a harmonious and delightful dish. My engaging public speaking and teaching prowess allowed me to connect with the audience, making the demonstration both informative and enjoyable.
Competing among talented chefs and being recognized for my culinary skills was a highlight in my career, fueling my commitment to bringing exceptional taste experiences to every event I engage in! Since then, I have catered for large organizations and participated in more cooking engagements, recipe-sharing events, and competitions.
I was a recently at the final stages (Top 1000 among 75,000 contestants) of a worldwide cooking competition (Favorite Chef).This was an amazing experience where I learned a lot and got to apply myself in new and innovative ways!
I look forward to more opportunities to share my skills and equip people with the knowledge and passion for creating their own culinary masterpieces!

I also had the pleasure of catering for the Black History Month event at Women's Health in Women's Hands Community Health Centre. Our Jollof was the talk of the event, leaving staff longing for more! It was truly amazing being a part of this cultural celebration of the rich culture and heritage of the BIPOC community. It was an honor to offer my services to WHIWH, which provides high-quality experiences for racialized and marginalized clients in Toronto and surrounding municipalities (the only CHC in North America with this exclusive mandate)!
Being able to share in this knowledge-sharing opportunity through food further fueled my passion for creating inclusive and memorable culinary experiences!
